START CORRALS

Participants in start corrals before the 2024 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle

The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle assigns runners to a start corral based on the expected pace per mile and finish time provided on their applications.


START CORRAL ASSIGNMENTS

All runners are assigned to a start corral and a start wave. Runners are placed into start corrals based on qualifying times and estimated times provided on their applications. Log into your participant account to view your start corral assignment.

  • Runners in the Elite Corral (Deloitte Elite Club Competition teams and individual elite runners) will check their gear at the Deloitte Elite Club Competition Tent and will start at 8:30 a.m.
  • Runners in Wave 1—those assigned to Start Corrals A, B, C and D— will check their gear at Red Gear Check and will start at 8:30 a.m.
  • Runners in Wave 2—those assigned to Start Corrals E, F, G and H — will check their gear at Blue Gear Check and will start at 9 a.m.

E 9:31 – 10:00 min/mile
F 10:01 – 11:00 min/mile
G 11:01 – 12:29 min/mile
H 12:30 – 15:00 min/mile

Start corral change requests can be submitted through the event’s request form. The deadline to submit a change request is 5 p.m. (U.S. Central Time) on Tuesday, February 4.


ELITE START

The Elite start is positioned at the front of the field and designed to recognize the top entrants in the 2025 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K. Runners can qualify for the elite start corral the following way:

  • Based on a qualifying time from a recent 5K, 4-mile, 8K, 10K, 15K, 10-mile, half marathon or marathon performance (run on or after January 1, 2024)
  • Participants must provide proof of qualification (event name, date, distance and finishing time) at the point of registration
  • Results must meet the elite corral qualification standards of 5:15 per mile pace for men and 6:15 per mile pace for women

RACE WEEKEND INFORMATION

Shufflers have been assigned to a specific start wave. Your assigned start determines your event (8K Run or 2-Mile Walk), your start corral and start time.

8K RUN

Wave 1

Elite start corral
Runners participating in the Deloitte Elite Club Competition and individuals assigned to the elite start corral will receive specific instructions on how to access the Deloitte Elite Club Tent in advance of the race.

A, B, C and D start corrals
Start corrals open: 7 a.m.
Start corrals close: 8:20 a.m.*
Race start time: 8:30 a.m.

*If you are not in your start corral by 8:20 a.m., you must start at the back of Wave 1, Start Corral D.

Wave 2

E, F, G and H start corrals
Start corrals open: 7:30 a.m.
Start corrals close: 8:45 a.m.*
Race start time: 9 a.m.

*If you are not in your start corral by 8:45 a.m., you must start at the back of Wave 2, Start Corral H.

2-MILE WALK

Walk Wave

Start corrals open: 8:45 a.m. Start corrals close: 9:15 a.m. Walk start time: 9:30 a.m.
Note the 2-Mile Walk shares the same start and finish lines as the 8K Run. The 2-Mile Walk begins after the last wave of participants.
