REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025 BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO MARATHON, CHICAGO 13.1 AND SHAMROCK SHUFFLE OPENS THIS MONTH
Today the teams behind Chicago’s premier racing portfolio announced registration information for the events that will make up the third annual Bank of America Chicago Distance Series. The Distance Series connects the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, Chicago 13.1 and Shamrock Shuffle 8K Run in a unique challenge that rewards participants who finish all three events in 2025 with an exclusive medal and guaranteed entry to the 2026 Chicago Marathon. Individuals interested in participating are encouraged to get their names in early to ensure they can take part in the series. Registration for the Chicago 13.1 and Shamrock Shuffle launches today with special discounted pricing. The four-week application period for the 2025 Bank of America Chicago Marathon will open on Tuesday, October 22.

RUNNERS CELEBRATE THE START OF THE SPRING RUNNING SEASON AT THE 42ND BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
Thousands of runners gathered in Grant Park Sunday morning to kick off Chicago’s spring running season at the 42nd running of the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. Featuring a sell-out field and the most finishers since 2018, more than 21,000 participants crossed the finish line on Columbus Drive under overcast skies. Zach Panning broke the tape, taking the crown in the men’s race in 22:48, while Sarah Disanza led the women’s field with a 26:35 and Jake Fedorowski claimed victory in the non-binary race in 32:17. Samantha Schroth and Angelo Perez won the wheelchair competition.

THOUSANDS OF CHICAGO AREA RUNNERS TAKE TO THE STREETS TO KICK OFF THE SPRING RACING SEASON AT THE 41ST BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
For the first time since 2019, runners returned to Grant Park to celebrate one of Chicago’s most revered running traditions. In a show of Shuffle pride beneath a sun-kissed sky, thousands of runners kicked off the spring racing season at the 41st Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. Tai Dinger took the fastest tour of Chicago’s downtown, sprinting across the finish line first in 22:56, leading a competitive field that welcomed elite runners from more than 40 USATF-club teams. Natosha Rogers led the women’s field, stopping the clock in 25:30. Michael Panther Mayen and Samantha Schroth claimed victory in the wheelchair competition.

For more than four decades, runners have participated in this popular road race to commemorate the start of the outdoor running season and continue the city’s St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. This year’s virtual race will continue the tradition as runners compete in a variety of distances from Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21.

Today the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle announced the launch of registration for the long-standing Chicago tradition, which will return as a virtual event in 2021. For more than four decades, runners have participated in this popular road race to kick off the outdoor running season and continue the St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Chicago. An eight-week Training Challenge will keep runners motivated and moving on their journey to the virtual race weekend experience, which will take place Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21.

BANK OF AMERICA CHICAGO 13.1 – A RUNNING TOUR OF CHICAGO’S WEST SIDE NEIGHBORHOODS – SET TO DEBUT SPRING 2020
Bank of America announced today the long-awaited debut of the Bank of America Chicago 13.1. The city’s newest half marathon, one of the most popular race distances in the United States, will kick off on Sunday, June 7, 2020, bringing a world-class race and three-day health and wellness festival to Chicago’s west side. The inaugural event deepens Bank of America’s premier racing portfolio, which includes the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.

RUNNERS CELEBRATE SPRING BY KICKING OFF THE RUNNING SEASON AT THE 40TH ANNUAL BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
In a show of Chi-rish pride, thousands of runners gathered today in Grant Park under an overcast sky and ideal running conditions to officially kick off Chicago’s running season at the 40th annual Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle. Joe Moore sprinted across the line first in 23:18, outkicking a competitive men’s field that welcomed elite runners from more than 50 USATF-club teams from around the nation. The women’s winner, Olivia Pratt, claimed victory with a swift time of 26:26. Daniel Romanchuk and Susannah Scaroni took the crowns in the wheelchair competition in course record times, 16:29 and 19:02, respectively.

MAMMOTH TRACK CLUB AND KANSAS CITY SMOKE HEADLINE DELOITE ELITE CLUB COMPETITION AT THE BANK OF AMERICA SHAMROCK SHUFFLE
The Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle announced today that the Mammoth Track Club, headlined by Olympian and American record-holder and 2005 and 2009 Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle champion Deena Kastor and 2015 and 2016 Shamrock Shuffle champion Alexi Pappas, will make its debut in the 11th annual Deloitte Elite Club Competition. The Kansas City Smoke will also be back on the men’s side to defend their title.

Thousands of runners turned the streets of downtown Chicago green today as they kicked off the spring running season at the 39th annual Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K. Defending champion Stephen Sambu, 29, of Tucson, Ariz., sprinted his way into first place, finishing in 23:10, becoming the first person in event history to win four consecutive times. The women’s winner, Laura Thweatt, 29, of Boulder, Colo., finished strong with a time of 26:02, propelling her and her Boulder Track Club teammates to victory of the 10th annual Deloitte Elite Club Competition.
